History

1961 Launched as the Furnace Construction Department for Toshiba Furnaces Co., Ltd., the precursor to Toshiba Ceramics Co., Ltd. (present-day CoorsTek GK).
1968 Spun off from Toshiba Rozai. Established as Toshiba Rozai Chikuro Koji Co., Ltd.
1971 Capital investment in Daido Seiko Co., Ltd. (present-day Daido Steel Co., Ltd.). Participation ends May 2001.
1973 Capital investment in Nihon Touki Co., Ltd. (present-day NORITAKE CO., LIMITED).
1984 Company name changed to Tocera Engineering Co., Ltd.
1992 The ceramics and industrial furnace divisions of Toshiba Ceramics Co., Ltd. are spun off and established as Toshiba Ceramics Furnace Co., Ltd. (former Togane Site).
2000 The headquarters of Tocera Engineering Co., Ltd. moves to its present-day location. Plans made for rebuilding a business center.
2001 Business affiliation and capital relationship with NORITAKE CO., LIMITED strengthened.
2003 Tocera Engineering Co., Ltd. and Toshiba Ceramics Furnace Co., Ltd. merge on equal footing, forming the new company Toshiba Ceramics Furnace Co., Ltd.
2003 NORITAKE CO., LIMITED becomes a 51% shareholder, and the company name is changed to Noritake TCF Co., Ltd.
2007 The shareholding ratio between Noritake TCF Co., Limited. and Covalent Materials Co., Ltd. (present-day CoorsTek GK) changes to 81:19.
2009 Stock ownership changes give NORITAKE CO., LIMITED 100% of company stock.
